'‘The Lady of the Wind” is an illustrated children’s book. Written in English and Spanish, the book tells the story of a child that is looking for special gift. Motivated by love and a desire to give, the child is ready to go on a big adventure in search of that special gift.
During the journey the child encounter a soft voice in the wind. The Lady of the Wind reveals to the child that she knows the most beautiful gift a person can give and teases the child asking over and over what is he willing to do for such special gift.
Told in a poetic way, the text and images are aa conversation between the child and a voice in the wind. Before disclosing the identity of the gift, the Lady of the Wind uses visual and verbal metaphors to reveal the greater and simple truths of love and life. These illustrated conversations are a journey within a journey.
The poem teaches the lesson that the most important and valuable things in life have no cost and are always there for us to reach.
